Donald Benjamin, a resident of Wurtsboro, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Garnet Health Medical Center. He was 84. The son of Elmer and Charlotte (Becker) Benjamin, Donald was born on May 31, 1941, in Lanesville, NY.
Donald was a proud member of the United States Air Force serving from 1960 to 1968 in many different roles culminating with his posting at the Pentagon. He was also retired from the New York State Police with 30 years of service.
Donald is survived by his loving wife Doris, his children Ronni, Christina, and Timothy, his grandchildren Breanna, Alexandra, Anita, and Makenna, his great-grandchildren Jaliyah, Robert, Hiro, Logan, and Emily, and several brothers and sisters.
Donald was predeceased by his parents, sisters Rose, Evelyn, and Joyce, and brother Charles.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Lanesville Methodist Church located at 1513 NY-214, Lanesville, NY.
