Tracey Denise Benjamin
October 24, 1963 – January 21, 2025
Tracey Denise Benjamin, 61, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on January 21, 2025, at Mount Carmel East Hospital.
Born on October 24, 1963, in New York, New York, Tracey was the beloved daughter of Roberta Benjamin. Throughout her life, she worked in many different roles, but most recently found purpose in her work in sales for a cemetery. Tracey’s career reflected her caring spirit and her ability to connect with others during life’s most meaningful moments.
Although Tracey did not have children of her own, she poured her love into her “furry children” — her cats. Over the years, she cared for many, and at the time of her passing she was devoted to her two beloved companions, Thunderbird and Hercules.
Tracey’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her mother, Roberta; her five sisters, Ramona (Will), Dorrie, Sharon, Rachel, and Shonnice; her two brothers, Victor (Linda) and Bruce; her special nephew Jason; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her sister Regina Dunbar, her brother Lane Logan, and two of her beloved cats, Sampson and Zeus.
Tracey’s warmth, humor, and deep love for family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
