Joseph "Steve" Boffman

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH 43227.
Joseph Steven Boffman, Age 65 was born at The Ohio State University Hospital June 8, 1960. He made his heavenly transition on September 26, 2025, peacefully at his home in Springfield, Ohio.
Steve graduated from North High School in Columbus, Ohio with honors despite missing over a year of studies due to a life-threatening accident. Steve later attended technical college, pursuing his passion for automotive mechanics and repair. His love for classic cars and the art of restoring them became one of his lifelong joys. Steve was also a devoted OSU Buckeye and New England Patriots fan.
Steve had many talents in life including his love of refurbishing and repairing cars although not many knew that Steve was also an amazing artist. He was known for his quick wit, humor and genuine warmth. He had an ability to make friends easily and many would say that meeting Steve meant gaining a lifelong friend.
He also found happiness in spending time with his granddaughter Theresa, beloved Rottweilers Fatts and Hercules, long road trips, family cookouts and holiday get togethers where he was always the "star of the show" bringing humor and fun to all those around him.
Steve was a beloved and devoted father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend whose humor, generosity, kindness and acceptance of others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Theresa Travis Ragland and William Boffman Sr., beloved father Ellsworth Ragland and sister Mary Vinson.
Steve is survived by his loving daughter, Amber Williams, grandchildren, Theresa and Anthony Dudley, brother, William "Tommy" Boffman Jr. (Alberta), loving sister Teresa "Teri" Ragland, niece Vittoria Jimerson-Overmeyer (Jason), nephew Travis Boffman and a host of cousins, friends, family and neighbors. A special mention to his beloved canine companions' "sons" Fatts and Hercules.
Steve meant the world to all of us who knew him and his spirit of love, humor, compassion, and generosity will live on in our hearts forever.
