Donald Richard Biltcliffe, 82, of Charlotte, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026
Don was born July 2, 1943, in Rhode Island to the late Edwin Biltcliffe Jr, and the late Ethel Knowles Biltcliffe. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Biltcliffe III.
Don was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was an active amatuer radio operator (call sign, N4IZ), working every state in the United States and many countries. He most enjoyed visiting with family and friends both in Charlotte and on beach trips to Oak Island. One of his greatest joys in life was watching his grandchildren grow up.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Myra Adams Biltcliffe of Charlotte, NC; son, Richard Biltcliffe of St Amant, LA; daughter, Lori Fleming (Clayton) of Huntersville, NC; grandson, Justice Fleming (Lindsey) of Huntersville, NC; granddaughter, Shelby Fleming of Scotch Plains, NJ and one great granddaughter, Reese Fleming (Justice & Lindsey) of Huntersville, NC. Don is also survived by his sister, Barbara Wilson of Charlotte, NC.
The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
Don will be greatly missed by his family and all those who were blessed to know him.
