DONALD D. BUFFINGTON
Saginaw, Michigan
Don passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at HealthSource Saginaw. He was 88 years old. Donald David Buffington was born on August 15, 1937, in West Branch, Michigan, to the late Glen and Bessie (Thume) Buffington. He was married to Deborah A. (Block) Buffington on August 20, 1972, in Birch Run, Michigan. She survives him. Don is also survived by his sister, Louise Goss; In-laws, Kathy (Tom) Walz, Mel (Mary) Block, Barb Block, Ernie (Tina) Block, Mary (George) Gude; also several nieces and nephews. Don was also predeceased by his brothers, Charles and Alfred Buffington, and his brothers-in-law, Larry Goss, Gordon Block and Rollie Block.
Don was a charter bus driver for Michigan Trailways for 27 years.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Back in the day, he sang in the choir, served on Stephen Ministries, served as an usher, and was also a shut-in visitor and an avid bowler.
Funeral and committal services will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Road, Saginaw, MI. Pastor Paul Biber will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Don will then be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Memories and sympathies of Don may be shared with the family on his memorial website at WakemanFuneralHome.com
