John Cherry Obituary

Loving husband, son, brother and uncle passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Covenant HealthCare. Age 57 years. Son of the late James and Nancy (Rohde) Cherry, John was born on September 26, 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Jacki Moore on May 9, 2009.
John was a graduate of Swan Valley High School, Class of 1986. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army from 1987-1991, including deployment to Iraq during the Gulf War. He graduated from Ferris State University with an Associate in Applied Science in Heavy Equipment Service in 1993.
John is survived by his wife, Jacki, and their fur baby Chunk; Mother-in-Law, Zona Moore and Brother-in-Law, Scott (Jen) Moore; as well as nephews, nieces, and several close friends. He was predeceased by his Father-in-Law, Jerry Moore.
Honoring John's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family.
