Beloved mother, sister, and aunt passed away, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Holt Senior Care & Rehab, Holt Michigan at the age of 85. Norma was born on July 29, 1935, in Angola, Indiana, the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Erwin) Nichols. Norma was united in marriage to James "Jim" Baumgartner on November 13, 1998; he preceded her in death on July 16, 2006
Norma is survived by her daughter, Deanna S. Fuller of Battle Creek and a son, Martin Blackmer; daughter in-law, Alice Mc Clain; two stepsons, James (Diane) and Tom Baugartner; six grandchildren, one sister, Mary Howard; and many nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by two daughter's, Cynthia Ann Blackmer and Judith Martin and one son, Paul Mc Clain; two brothers, Kenton (Mary Ann) Nichols and David Nichols.
In honoring Mrs. Baumgartner's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Cancer Society.
