Judith “Judy” Ann Sperry of Saginaw
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully at her home with her daughter by her side on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, following a lengthy illness. She was 83 years old. Judith Ann Clements was born on May 29, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Alfred Henry and Catherine Marie (Dittmar) Clements Sr. She was a proud 1960 graduate of Saginaw High School. Judy married Fred Bellinger on September 2, 1961, that union brought three beautiful children. She later married James H. Sperry Sr., on January 30, 1975; he preceded her in death on August 18, 1998. Judy retired from Severence Tool after several years of loyal and dedicated service. She treasured and cherished spending time with her family. A gifted and talented seamstress, she learned the intricacies from her grandmother. As a young lady, she enjoyed creating clothing for her children and later donating her time to help repair seniors’ clothing. She will forever be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and for creating kindness and generosity toward others. Judy also enjoyed dressing up for her favorite holiday, Halloween.
Surviving are her daughter, Renee (Daniel) O’Brien of Saginaw; a son-in-law, Philip Young of Saginaw; seven grandchildren: Shane (Christy) O’Brien, Shaun (Ashley) O’Brien, Shanon O’Brien, Seth (Heather) O’Brien, Shelby (Amber) O’Brien, Devon (Claudia) Young, and Brett (Brittany) Bellinger Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jan Clements of Gilford, a brother, Sonny Clements of Bridgeport. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Sperry Sr.; a son, Brett Bellinger; a daughter, Shelly Young; parents, Alfred and Catherine Clements; a brother, Lawrence “Larry” Clements.
The family would like to extend at heartfelt thank you to “The Care Team Hospice” for all the love, care, and kindness they provided to Judy and to the family.
