Donald E Byers, 82, of Alliance, passed away Saturday, October 4th, at Aultman Compassionate Care. Born in Cadiz, on July 31, 1943, a son of the late Forrest and Mary (Wright) Byers. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by loving wife of 44 years Carolyn Faye (Bonura) Byers, daughter Jennifer M. Byers, brother Gary Byers. Donald was a loving father and a truly great man who wore his heart on his sleeve. A proud Marine and Vietnam veteran, he served his country with honor and carried that same strength and loyalty into every part of his life. He found joy in the simple pleasures whether it was spending time at the casino, playing bingo, or enjoying the racetrack alongside his son, Donald. He also loved a good game of Setback, always playing with heart and humor. Donald will be remembered not only for the things he loved to do, but for the kindness, sincerity, and love he shared so freely with those around him. Survived by 2 daughters Shawn M. (David) Skeens, Kristen I. (Robert) Weekly; son Donald E. (Valerie) Byers Jr.; 2 brothers Kenneth Byers, Raymond Byers; 15 grandchildren Michael, Devin, Ashlee, Brett, Trevor, Audry, Brandy, Wyatt, Branton, Audrie, Derek, Bart, Madison, Chris, McKenna; 31 great grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 12th at the American Legion • 395 California Ave, Sebring, Ohio 44672• staring at 2 PM.
