Donald age 88, died at the hospice House in Merrimack, NH on January 22, 2022. He was born March 11, 1933 in Biddeford, Maine. His parents were Harvey Leroy and Bessie Gertrude (Albee) Clough. However later he would learn James Edward Quinn is his biological father. Despite that, Harvey raised Donald as his own. Donald was a mechanic for many years living in Hudson, NH where his children were raised. His second career was working with bee keepers in Florida. He came back to NH to live with his daughter Zoe six years ago. Mr. Clough was predeceased by his wife Rita (Demers) Clough. Also his four siblings Virginia Davis, Alaska Dyer, Lee Clough and his adopted sister Gertrude Oliver have already passed.
He is survived by his children: Zita Clough of Delta, Iowa, Donald Clough Jr. of Holly Hill, Florida, Thomas Clough of Umatilla, Florida, Zoe Fimbel of Mont Vernon, New Hampshire, Penny McIntyre of Holly Hill, Florida, Michael Clough of Smyrna, Tennessee and Chester Clough of Clearwater, Florida. As well as two more children we found out about: Jamie Russell and Edward Russell of New Hampshire. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren (that we know of).
Donald loved music and enjoyed going to concerts and music festivals. He got to meet many musicians and artists which got him a nice autograph collection. It always put a smile on Don's face when he would get a $2 bill or a star note in change after buying something. Another thing he liked was to play cribbage. He could never play that game enough and he was still good at it until his final decline in health. Donald also had a love for motorcycles. While lying in bed less than 24 hours before passing away he put his arms and hands up in the position as if he were riding.
Interment will be in the Spring in the family plot at Goodwin's Mills Cemetery in Lyman, Maine.
