Donald L. Dailey

Devoted Husband, Beloved Father, Proud Grandfather, Master of All Trades

Donald L. Dailey,(70) a dedicated family man and skilled craftsman who could fix or build anything, passed away leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love, lifelong learning, and tireless work ethic.

Don was a man who truly could do it all—a machinist, welder, mechanic, and natural-born problem solver. There wasn’t a task too big or a project too complex for his hands. He ran his own auto shop from home for many years, and more than just repairing cars, he built a foundation for his family—one rooted in independence, grit, and the importance of hard work.

He taught his children not just how to fix things, but how to approach life with responsibility, confidence, and determination. Whether it was turning a wrench, welding a piece of metal, or diagnosing a stubborn engine, he showed them how to dig in, figure it out, and never give up. Because of his guidance, there’s hardly anything his children can’t do. His lessons live on in everything they touch.

Don loved tinkering in the garage, his personal haven filled with tools, memories, and things he “might need someday.” He saved everything—because he believed in being prepared, in the value of resourcefulness, and in helping others whenever he could.

He found joy in the outdoors, especially fishing and camping, and shared those peaceful moments with the ones he loved most. For over 50 years, he shared a beautiful life with his wife, Carol S. Dailey. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, adventure, and creativity—from family camping trips to shared craft projects.

His greatest pride was his family. He adored his grandchildren, Keaton Bush and Madaline Dailey, and was always looking forward to cheering them on in their activities and watching them grow.

Always by his side was his loyal sidekick and puppy, Kylea, who rarely left his side and brought him constant companionship and joy.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Carol; their children: Jerod (Rebecca) Dailey, Jessica (Brent) Bush, Jackie (Chad) Miller, and Justin (Alicia) Dailey; and his beloved grandchildren, Keaton and Madaline.

His family has lost not only the most amazing husband, father, and grandfather—they’ve lost their teacher, their role model, and the quiet force who taught them how to stand strong in this world. His love and lessons will live on in everything they do.

In keeping with Donald's wishes, private family services will be held.
