Don "Paw Paw" Dorris passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at his residence.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday, February 14, 2025 at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the North MS Veteran Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am prior to the service.
Mr. Don was a retired Law Enforcement Officer with the Florida Department of Corrections and retired US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. His hobby was restoring vehicles.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Elaine Stewart Dorris, sons Rodney Dorris (Audrey), Rusty Dorris and Nathan Martin (Felicia), daughter Kelley Davis (Dwayne), grandchildren Robert Dorris, Yolanda Harvell (Rick), Morgan Taylor (Mike), Madeline Lassiter (Dylan), Paige Andrew, Spencer Dowling, Hunter Cockrell (Katherine), Chris Cockrell (Lyn), Preston Cockrell (Amelia) and Trevor Davis, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
Donald Lee Dorris was preceded in death by his parents Sanford and Maxine Jorden Dorris, his sister Gail Potts and his brother Larry Dorris.
