Donald Lee Thames “Duck”, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. He was a native and lifelong resident of Burke County. He is survived by a son, Donald “DJ” Thames, Jr. (Jessica) of Waynesboro; three grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Liles (Ebbie) and Glennis Daniel (Larry) both of Waynesboro; several nieces and nephews; and a long list of cousins, who were more like siblings.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Monday, July 21 at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, July 22 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bruce Allen and Glenn Thames. Burial will follow at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery.
