Donald "Don" Evans, 91, of Vincennes, IN passed away May 23, 2025. He was born in Vincennes, IN on December 8, 1933, to the late Robert and Jessie (Frankum) Evans. Don graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War era and was stationed in Germany. Don worked for Hamilton Glass and Gemtron for 38 years before retiring. Don was a member of the American Legion, VFW, the 40 & 8, Vincennes Gun Club, Wabash Valley Sportsman Club, and the YMCA. He was baptized at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Don's real passions were woodworking, hunting, fishing, and be outdoors. He will be deeply missed.
Don is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Jessie Evans; siblings Bobby Evans, Dale Evans, and Thelma Short; nephew Mike Short.
He is survived by his sons Stanley (Cindy) Evans, John (Jana Whitehead) Evans, Scott (Andrea) Evans; grandchildren Kurt Evans, Heath Evans, Kyle Evans, Cooper Evans; niece Charlene Short.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Evans. Visitation will be held Friday, May 30, 2025, from noon to 2 pm. Funeral Services will be private for family only.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Legion or VFW in Don's honor.
