Donald L. Faunce was born April 8, 1944 in Martinsville, Virginia the son of Arlie and Beulah (Metzger) Faunce. He passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the Village Manor Nursing Home in Abilene.
Don graduated from Seneca High School and was an auto body repairman in the Topeka, Perry, and Kansas City area.
He enjoyed shooting pool at the Abilene Senior Center, loved motorcycles, road motocross, and he and Judy were the managers of the King Solomon Camp for 20 years.
On June 5, 1965, he married Judy Edgman in Kansas City, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his daughter Sherri Minick and her husband Dan of Manhattan, sons Tracy Faunce of Manhattan, Jerrod Faunce of Abilene, brother Jerry Faunce and his wife Marilyn of Topeka, seven grandchildren Austin, Chevy, Ethan, Gracelyn, Jordan, Cheyenne, and Curtis, and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kelli Faunce and his parents.
A celebration of life service will be 11:00 Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the First Christian Church in Abilene with Pastor Jason Kohler officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, the Abilene Senior Center, or the King Solomon Camp and may be sent in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW 3rd, Abilene, Kansas 67410.

Don was very involved with getting me involved with " Missions". I made 12 trips to Juarez , Mexico . Working with Casto Por Crisco and Amor thanks to Don. Now I have all three kids involved in ministries with one son in Japan. Thanks Don and Judy.
