Donald Cleveland Florence

Donald Cleveland Florence, age 95, passed away, Friday, February 20, 2026, at Cedar Ridge Health Campus. He was born on, February 23, 1930, to the late Harry Cleveland Florence and Violet Christine Price Florence. He is also preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Doris Clifford Florence, and second wife, Patsy Lyons Florence.

Donald is survived by sons, Darrell C. (Vickie) Florence, Dwayne (Robin) Florence; daughters, Dwyla (Charlie) Garnett, Dinah (Paul) Miller; grandchildren, Abby (David) Ames, Derek Florence, Alex (Catey) Florence, DJ (Cathy) Florence, Jill (Shaun) Anderson, Christine Garnett, Luke (Katie) Garnett, Jordan Elizabeth Oakes, Austin (Rebecca) Miller; great-grandchildren, Caroline Ames, Jonathan Ames, Faith Florence, Cawood Florence, Eva Florence, Cooper Anderson, Leah Anderson, Max Garnett, Gunner Oakes, and Henry Miller.

Donald was a devoted Christian who spent more than sixty years teaching Sunday school and faithfully serving as both a deacon and an elder. He found joy in tending his garden, fishing, and watching birds. He also proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict.

Funeral services for Donald will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Oxford Christian Church, 2785 Oxford Village Ln, Georgetown, KY 40324 with visitation from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery.
