Dorotha Louise White

Dorotha Louise Richardson Whitaker White, age 86, of Cynthiana, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at Dover Nursing and Rehab in Georgetown, KY. She was born on August 3, 1939, in Harrison County, KY to the late Emery and Dorothy Franklin Richardson. Dorotha is also preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Sue Kiskaden; brother, Emery Richardson Jr.; a sister, Dorothy Mae Young; and a grandchild, Emery Christopher Collins.

Dorotha is survived by two sons, James Ray (Teresa) Whitaker, Charles Lee (Jeanette) Whitaker; four daughters, Sheila "Cookie" (Ronald) Shaw, Donna Louise Whitaker, Teresa (James) Jones, Christine (Steven) Thomas; three brothers, JL Richardson, James Louis Richardson, Phillip Ray Richardson; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.

Dorotha was a member of Irvingsville Baptist Church, and enjoyed working with the youth there. Many will miss her.

Funeral services for Dorotha will be at Ware Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be held the evening prior, Monday, February 23, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., also at Ware Funeral Home. Burial will follow services in Battle Grove Cemetery.
