He was born March 20, 1956, in Henderson, KY, to the late Frank and Eleanor Smith Floyd. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Ralph Floyd of Cincinnati, OH.
He is survived by one son: Donald (Kat) Floyd JR. of Louisville, KY, one daughter: Ebony (Rudy) Doderer of Hager Hill, KY; two brothers: David Floyd of Henderson, KY, Bruce Floyd of Henderson, KY; one sister: Judy Kinkade of Robards, KY; along with four grandchildren: Sidney, Shelby, Brooklynn, and Peyton. He leaves behind countless nieces and nephews, three of whom he loved like his own: Tabrielle Lewis, Niria, and Marquin all of Henderson, KY.
At the request of the family, a memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with all final arrangements for Mr. Donald Floyd.
