Donald Nixon Fralick

Minnetonka, Minnesota - Donald Nixon Fralick, age 82, died Monday, September 22, in Minnetonka, Minnesota of Metastatic Melanoma.Preceded by parents Don & Betty Fralick and sister Jane Warren. Don was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1943. He moved as a young child to Hopkins, Minnesota, and attended Hopkins Public Schools. He went to Dunwoody after high school and trained as a welder, which he worked at for several years, and then decided to go back to the University of Minnesota and graduated with a degree in education. He taught industrial arts at the St. Paul Open School in the 1970s and 80s, finishing his last employment with District 287, teaching special education. He was a man of many talents, had a lot of interests and a witty sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, his son, Joel (Lanie), his daughter Allison (Shannon), and 5 grandchildren, Addie, Kaylee, Josalyn, Zach, and Zoey and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be at a future date.
