Age 87, of Loris, SC, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
He was the beloved husband of the late Francis Griffin; father of Mark J. Griffin (Jill) of Loris, SC, Donna Barrett (Nick) of FL, Evelyn Tompkins (Bob) of GA; he is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donald was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a metropolitan police officer for many years until his retirement in 1973. Donald was a lover of sports, especially the Washington Nationals and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Friends received, Friday, February 3, from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills. A Service will be held, Saturday, February 4, at 11:00 am in Plum Creek Cemetery. Interment in Plum Creek Cemetery.
