Don worked as a machinist at Harnischfeger until their closure and then was employed with several different area businesses until his retirement.

Don loved the many large family get-togethers throughout the years and looked forward to each and every one of them. Don always made sure to have his disposable Polaroid camera handy to document every picture in true time.
Don was Catholic by faith.
Among survivors include his wife, Kathy of Bark River; daughters, Brenda (Joe) Jack of Cornell, Kristin (Jeremy Casey) Hahn of Escanaba, and Jennifer Hahn of Escanaba; five grandchildren, Mitchelle Page, Grace and Margaret Hahn, and Emma and Evan Jack; siblings, John (Sue) Hahn of Wilson and Mary Hansen of Escanaba; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 21st from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Rick Courier officiating.
