Baue Funeral Home - Cave SpringsDonald “Don” James Haynes, of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the age of 79. Beloved son of the late James and Delores Haynes; devoted father of Ryan Haynes, Traci "Nicci" (Will) St Clair, and Jeremy Haynes; cherished grandfather of Mason St Clair and Mackenzie St Clair; dear brother of Linda Willet; and survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Donald is also preceded in death by his sister, Diana Tracy.
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army, earning the rank of Sergeant and receiving the Bronze Star Medal for his honorable service. He attended the University of Illinois, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business. Donald went on to work as a dedicated pipefitter with Local 562.
In his free time, Donald enjoyed cooking, fishing, bowling, golfing, fantasy football, pool, and playing darts. In his younger years, he loved playing softball and Indian ball. He was also an enthusiastic sports fan who never missed a chance to cheer on his children and grandchildren at their games or watch his favorite football and baseball teams.
Donald was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Donald's name to Veteran Affairs.
