Donald "Donnie" G. Horrell, 85, of Petersburg, IN passed away September 30, 2025 at The Villages of Oak Ridge in Washington, IN. He was born to George and Hilda (Beck) Horrell on June 12, 1940 in Petersburg, IN. Donnie graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1958 and went on to serve his country in the Army National Guard. He was a faithful lifetime member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Petersburg, IN. He was a member of the National Horsemen's Benevolence Protection Association. Donnie loved to spend his time training his horses for racing.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marty (Adams) Horrell; daughters, Victoria (Rick) Ross and Kyla (Rod) Dowell; grandchildren, Kaiden Krieg, Atlee Krieg, Grayson Krieg, Brittany Ross and Josh Ross; nephews, Joe (Faye) Davis, Jeff (Chrystale) Davis, Brian (Angie) Davis, Greg (Mary) Horrell, Dennis Adams, David Adams, Lance Adams, and Rodney Adams; nieces, Penelope (Bruce) Furhman, Penny (Tom) Ramon, Debbie Adams Tate, and Cindy (David) Pratt; sisters in law, Nancy Foster, Kay Horrell, Karen Adams, and Betty Adams; and several great nieces and nephews.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, George and Hilda Horrell; sister, Nancy (Donnie) Davis; brothers, Bill (Kay) Horrell and Ronnie Horrell; brothers in law, Bill (Jackie) Adams, Larry (Karen) Adams, Don (Betty) Adams, and Tom (Nancy) Foster; and sister in law, Jackie (Bill) Adams.

Services for Donnie will take place at 3 PM EST on Friday, October 3, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 10 AM EST until service time. Pastor Richard Ross will be officiating and burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations please be made to PAWS or Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. Those may be mailed to PO Box 217, Petersburg, IN 47567. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
