He was born March 30, 1940 in Meadville, PA, a son of the late Frank and Betty (Kern) Huttelmayer. He married Nancy Orr on June 30, 1984.
He was a 1958 graduate of Meadville High School and retired from CSX in 2000 after 35 years of service.
Don was of protestant faith.
Don was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1966.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nancy, of 36 years.
He is survived by a sister, Judy Moore of California; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kelly and Gregg Fernberg of Shelbyville, KY; cousins, Ralph and Karen Corner, Edward, Charlene, and Charles Hancuff; nephews and niece, Brian, Chad, and Jennifer; great-nephews and great-niece, Justin, Hayden, and Kristen.
Per Don's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
