Donald K Major Sr.

Donald K. Major, Sr. passed away peacefully on 11/15/22. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy, of NC; children, Alan of NC, Jessica (Scott) Harris of NY, Donald K. (Rose) Major, Jr. of NY; granddaughter, Morgan (CJ) Gevinski, and great-granddaughter, Sawyer, who he nicknamed Tommy. He is also survived by siblings, John (Bonnie) Major, Arlene (Jeff) Erskine, Robert Major, William (Colleen) Major, Deborah Major, Suzanna (Dan Carroll) Major; brother-in-law, Bill (Angel) Revette; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family that will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his father, Peter Major; his beloved mother, Louella Laffin or Laughing; his beloved sister, Evelyn Revette, his beloved brother, Albert Major, and his beloved sister, Sandra Major.
Don had many friends, and if he loved you, you knew you were loved, and made part of his family. He cherished the people he loved deep in his heart! You couldn't see that on the outside, but it is true.
He loved working with wood and other materials to create things, he created for others. Prior to moving to NC he made sure that his mother Louella's kitchen was completely remodeled from top to bottom, and when he came back on vacation, one year, he remodeled his mother-in-law's, Julia's, kitchen, with help from Bill Revette, in one week!
A graduate of West Genesee High School, he worked at Crucible Steel for 20 years. Then he worked for Revere Copper, Burlington Industries, and then settled in for 24.5 years at Lance, which became Snyder's Lance, and later Campbells.
There will be a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, June 7th at 2 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 8229 Brewerton Road, Cicero, NY.
