Donald D. Kalinowski, age 84 of Strongsville, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Beloved husband of Betty Jean (nee Hasto) of 62 years; loving father of Michael (Shirley), Kathleen Day (Lincoln), Patricia Smith (Greg), and Kimberly Dove; devoted grandfather of Corbin and Nicole, Kenneth and Jessica (Daniel), Audrey and Emma, and Sloan (Trent) and Keith; great-grandfather of Luke and Cole; dear brother of Carol Cole; uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Preceded in death by his parents, Casimir and Josephine Kalinowski (nee Holata) and his son, K.C. Kalinowski.
Donald was a proud retired lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Army. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus (PFN) and a member of the T-Bird Club. In his spare time, Donald was an avid trap shooter, fisherman, and hunter.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Rd., Parma, OH 44134 or The Salvation Army, 2507 E. 22nd St., Cleveland, OH 44115.
Funeral Mass at 10am on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, OH 44136. Interment with Army Honors to follow at 2:45pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH.
