Donald Roy "Don" Keeler, 98, passed away September 16, 2025, at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. He was born on August 11, 1927, in Stafford County, Kansas, to Claude Leo, Sr. and Iva Mary (Wetig) Keeler.

Don graduated from St. Francis Xavier School in Seward, then served his country in the United States Army during World War II. On May 6, 1950, he married Doris E. Fox at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Seward, Kansas. He spent his married life living in Great Bend. Don was a former member of the American Legion and belonged to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Seward and Prince of Peace Parish in Great Bend. He worked for Sunflower Dairy, Bayless Cleaner, and Suburban Cleaners, where he retired in 1987. After he retired, Don did lawn mowing and yard work for several people and retired from that in 2017. He truly enjoyed being outdoors and working in his garden. Don cherished his knick-knacks in his recliner and his porch time.

He is preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; one sister; and one sister-in-law.

Graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at Great Bend Cemetery, with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Military honors will be presented by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard. Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home.
