Donald E. Keith, 87, Indianapolis, passed away at 12:45 p..m. on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Hendricks Regional Hospital.
Born June 15, 1936 in Bunker Hill, Indiana, he was the son of Dovie and Gavette (Coblentz) Keith. In March 1983, he was married to Katie Cooper who passed away July 29, 2011.
He was a self-employed truck broker for many years. He was always traveling back and forth to visit his many friends and family between the many places he called home: Indianapolis, Twelve Mile, and Florida.
Survivors include, his daughter, Lou Ann (Bill) Spry, Lafayette; son, Don (Jane) Keith, Wabash; and step-daughter, Brenda (Mike) Turk, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Ashley (Travis) Stangland, Abbey (Christopher) Chalfant, Allison Keith, Holly (Tim) Egenolf, Heidi (Andrew) Griffin, Keith Cooper, Darlene Hawk, Amy Kendall, Stacy O'Gara, Charlie (Johnna) Spry, and Kevin (Jenny) Spry; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marshall Lee; his wife, Katie Keith; and a stepson, Jerry Cooper.
Military graveside rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Onward Deer Creek Cemetery, on Cass County Road 500 S. just east of South County Road 850 East, rural Walton, Indiana. Miami County Military Rites Unit will provide honors.
