Donald Kennedy

Donald James Kennedy, of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away after a brief illness on August 14, 2025 at the age of 72. Don is the cherished husband of 47 years to Cathy (nee Henry); the loving father of sons, David (Kristina Formicola) Kennedy; Daniel Kennedy (partner Janet Hood); Kevin Kennedy. Grandfather to Hailey, Danielle, and Angelina. Dear brother of Kathleen (Christopher) Garbacik; Ruth (David) Cooke; Michael (Diana) Kennedy and Linda Kennedy. Brother in law to William Henry; George Henry and the late Cherylene Henry. He is the beloved son of the late Donald L. and Patricia (Donovan) Kennedy. Don will be remembered for his kindness, his smile and knowledge of everything. Don lived with love and purpose. He found joy in the outdoors, whether camping under the stars or being a Boy Scout Leader. He had a passion for vintage Ford muscle cars, a strong work ethic, and a gift for stepping up to help without ever being asked. Most of all, he loved his wife, his sons, and his family and friends. That love showed in everything he did. His memory will stay alive in the places he cherished, the people he uplifted, and the bonds he built that can never be broken. His family celebrated his life privately with a campfire and loving stories.
