Donald P. Krisak

Donald P. Krisak, 79, lifelong resident of Superior, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 3, 1945, the son of Paul and Shirley (Carter) Krisak.
Don was a 1964 graduate of the former Central High School in Superior and attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He then spent most of his career working as a laborer for various construction companies in the area.
He was united in marriage to Kathy Hull on September 11, 1971, in Superior. Together they raised two beautiful daughters and celebrated fifty-four wonderful years together.
Don was a respected member of his community and was involved in many organizations. He was a third-generation member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church. He was a member of Local 1050 (later merging with Local 1091) Labor Union and was a member in good standing for over sixty years and served as president for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Superior Trap and Gun Club and also served as board president for the Village of Oliver, WI.
In his free time, Don was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, particularly partridge and white-tail deer, enjoyed fishing all year round, and took pride in his vegetable garden. He was also an avid reader and loved assembling puzzles during the winter months.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Kathy Krisak, Superior; daughters Lisa (Joseph) Martin, Duluth, MN and Tara (Lavy Vang) Krisak, Superior; grandchildren Justine (Ian Ross) Martin, Michael Martin, Joby (Anna) Vang, and Whitney Vang; sisters Judy (Henry) Pearson, Superior, and Susan (Pete) Paine, Superior; brother Dan (Karen) Krisak, Superior; and several nieces and nephews.
Don is preceded in death by his parents.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, with a Rosary Service at 6:30, at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Ave in Superior.
Visitation will continue at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Holy Assumption Catholic Church, 5601 Tower Ave in Superior, and will continue until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
