"Donnie" was born on November 23, 1947 in
Ouaquaga, NY, where he grew up as the youngest of seven children. After graduating from Framingham South High School in 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Ahead of his time in both interest and ability, his curiosity never wavered. Affectionately known as the "Google King" by his family, he rarely left a question unanswered. He went on to become a Senior Program Manager at EMC Corporation.

He relocated to Webster Lake, where he spent time boating, fishing, reading, and spending time with his family.
