James "Jimmy" V. Damiano, Jr., husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in the early hours of March 26th, 2026. Born on April 6th, 1947, in
Boston, MA, Jimmy was son of the late James V. and Rosa (Zaroni) Damiano.
Jimmy, a graduate of Roslindale High School, class of 1965, and continued his education at the former Boston Business School before attending Phoenix College. His academic pursuits laid a strong foundation for his successful career at the former Zayre Department Stores, where he was not only a dedicated employee but also the life of the party as the DJ at the company's Christmas parties.
Driven and ambitious, Jimmy went on to expand his career beyond the corporate world, embracing his entrepreneurial spirit. He pursued independent ventures that reflected his work ethic, creativity, and determination. His ability to take risks and carve his own path was a true testament to his resilience and passion for growth.
In his personal life, Jimmy, a devoted husband to Anita D. (Lewis) Damiano. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, welcoming Jimmy's son, Tucker Damiano of Wareham, and their daughters, Gianna Shepherd of England (and her husband Andrew) and Micaela Tuell (and her husband David) of Winchester. Jimmy, a loving brother to his sister, Marie Carle of Wareham. He also has several siblings from his late father's second marriage to his loving Stepmother Nona. His joy multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren, Jocelyn, Joey, Anthony, Samantha, Charlie, George, and Gianni.
Jimmy's passion for sports was undeniable. He was a loyal fan of all things Boston, cheering on the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics. His love for music, especially the tunes of the 1950s and doo-wop was a testament to his vibrant soul. His Italian culture/heritage and family history meant the world to him. We find peace in knowing he is enjoying an Italian Feast above with those who have left before him.

Alzheimer's Association in Jimmy's memory.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday April 10th 2026 from 2pm to 4pm in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress Street,
Milford, MA for those who wish to pay their respects. A brief memorial service will take place at 4pm.
