Donald F. Lukas, 79, of Canfield, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Humility House. Donald was born December 2, 1946, in Youngstown, a son of the late Anthony P. and Helen (Topolovcak) Lukas, and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Struthers High School in 1964 and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Donald served as Vice President of Data Processing at The Farmers National Bank for over 30 years, from which he retired. During his tenure, he implemented the bank's first computer system. After retirement, he attended MCCTC, where he earned a degree in pharmacy technology. He later worked for J.C. Penney at the Austintown Plaza, assisting in various roles from stocking to cashier. Donald enjoyed staying active and participated in bicycling, inline skating, and running. He took part in events such as the Canfield Firecracker Race and the Youngstown Peace Race. An avid reader, he especially enjoyed keeping up with advancements in technology. Donald leaves his wife, the former Janet Kish, whom he married on September 25, 1991; his daughter, Shannon Lukas of Austintown; his son, Jeffrey ( Laura Lisko) Lukas of Poland; two stepsons, Steven Beshara of Tallmadge and Jeffrey Beshara of Austintown; and two granddaughters, Olivia Lukas and Bethany Garcia. He also leaves his beloved dog, Molly. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Garcia, and his brother, Larry Lukas. Friends may call Monday, February 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel, followed by a funeral service at noon. The family would like to give a special thanks to Harmony Hospice for their wonderful care given to Don. Your compassion, kindness and patience was very much appreciated.
