Ronald T. Hake, age 89, of Niles, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, just one day shy of his 90th birthday.

Born February 7, 1936, in Howland, Ohio, Ronald was the son of the late William Hake and Evelyn (Newell) Hake.

After graduating High School, Ronald went on to build a career as an instrument repairman at RMI. Known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature, he took great pride in providing for his family. Ronald was a former member of Evansville Baptist church.

He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially golfing and fishing, and even found the energy to play baseball throughout his life. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. Ronald throughout his life never knew a stranger as said by those who knew him. He had an incredible knack with talking and making friends with anyone.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Hake, whom he married on April 17, 1954. Together they shared 71 devoted years of marriage.

He is also survived by his daughter: Susan Hake (Deborah) of Macon, Georgia, and daughter-in-law, Dr. Maureen Mitchell; and brother-in-law Bob Holmes Sr. As well as nieces, Sherry Beatty, and Lisa Hake; and nephews, Chuck Hake, and Bob Holmes (Jen).

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his son, James Hake; and his siblings; sister, Doris Holmes; brothers, Bill Hake, and Charlie Hake; and niece, Brenda Ainsworth.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio, with Pastor Joel Rastelli officiating. Ronald will be laid to rest at Kerr Cemetery in Weathersfield Township.
