Donnie Lyons, 69 passed unexpectedly in Owings Mills, MD on Sunday 11/2/2025 where he was helping friends.
Donnie was born in Boston, MA and raised on Cape Cod. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald G Lyons and Mary F Lyons.
Survived by his loving wife Kate E. Lyons of Oriental, NC

Andrew T. Lyons of Barnstable, MA,
Kathleen P. Lyons and partner Daniel Cantres of Falmouth, MA

Leaves behind several nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Donnie was raised on Cape Cod He moved with his wife Kate and their children Michael, Andrew and October to Missouri in 2007. Last year Donnie and Kate relocated to Oriental NC with their youngest, October who is in Nashville going to college. Donnie loved fishing, boating, hunting, wood working,( you said wood…) blowing up lizards, animals, Nascar, Bike racing, Soccer, Hockey, Football, Wrestling, Music of all kinds, family friends and life. He most loved sharing his passion and knowledge with others by teaching them how to do the things he loved.
Donnie was proud beyond measure of his children and grandchildren. He was a 30 year friend of Bill W. and helped so many people. They have made him a promise and I know he is routing for them to keep it.
Donnie had the most giving and generous heart. He was so loved and will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mashpee Wampanoag Rod and Gun Club on South Sandwich Road, Mashpee, MA at 11:00 on Thursday November 13th.
Dress as you wish, be yourself, and come celebrate Donnie with us.
Memorial donations can be made in Donnie’s name to a charity of your choice.
