**Obituary for Donald H. McKercher** With great sadness, we announce the passing of Donald H. McKercher, who left this world on August 31, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on August 26, 1941, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Donald was a cherished son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Donald was known for his quiet demeanor, but those closest to him knew of his sharp wit and humor. He had a kind spirit, always ready to lend a hand or share a light-hearted moment, making him a beloved figure among friends and family alike. His generosity and honesty were qualities that defined his character, leaving a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to know him. In his professional life, Donald dedicated many years as a butcher and meat cutter, honing his craft with pride. His expertise carried into his time as an aviation mechanic in the Air Force, where he served his country with honor. Donald enjoyed a variety of interests that brought him joy, particularly fishing and hunting. He found peace in the great outdoors, relishing the time spent in nature. His handy skills were often put to good use, whether in home improvement projects or helping friends and family with their own tasks. Donald is survived by his sister, Constance; sons, David and Robert; granddaughter, Carol Brinkmann; and great-grandchildren, Kurtiss Mooney and Hannah Verronda. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Barber, and his ex-wife, Judith. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 9:45 AM at St. John Lutheran Church in Bullhead City, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Donald's name to St. John's Lutheran Church. Donald leaves behind a legacy of kindness and care, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
