Donald Ryan Meade

On January 10, 2025, our beloved Donald Meade, born on March 22, 1955, peacefully departed this world surrounded by family. Donald is leaving behind a legacy filled with music, joy, and affection for his family and friends.
Donald was a gifted and passionate craftsman, known for his expertise as a cabinet maker and skilled woodworker. His work was a true reflection of his dedication to quality and attention to detail. A lover of music, Donald was a talented guitarist, sound technician, and a well-regarded expert of tube amps, where his deep knowledge and skill enhanced the sound for many musicians. He generously shared his expertise with family, friends, and fellow musicians fortunate enough to work with him. Also, a devoted cat owner, always finding comfort and companionship in the presence of his feline friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Thelma Meade and is survived by his sons, Mark Meade, Daniel Meade, and Ted Laning; his grandchildren, Marlee Meade, Zoey Laning, Connor Laning; his brother, Jeffrey B. Meade, Freda, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donald's family and friends will always cherish his memory and the legacy of his work and passion. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In honor of Donald's remarkable life, we invite friends and family to a memorial service and visitation on January 17, 2025, at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel 705 Raff Road SW Canton, OH 44710. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 5:00 PM.
