Donald Alvin "Don" Meyer

A memorial service for Donald "Don" A. Meyer, 71, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church. Mr. Meyer passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, in Riverton, Wyoming.

Donald Alvin Meyer was born September 4, 1954, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to Clifford I. and Artie M. Goins and was raised in Westby, Montana. He married Jana J. Berg on June 3, 1989, in Cavalier, North Dakota, and together they built a life centered on family, laughter, and simple pleasures.

Don's faith journey began with his baptism into the Catholic Church and later led him to worship with the congregation at St. John Lutheran. A dedicated volunteer, he served his community as a volunteer fireman while living in Grenora. He worked for many years at Meyer's Construction and also at A.D. Martin and Gale's Carpet One.

Above all, Don was a devoted husband, father and grandfather-at-heart. He took immense pride in his children - cheering loudly at every game and event for Ann and Wyatt - and treasured Friday night dates with Jana. He loved playing softball and golf, spending time with family, and being with his beloved dog, Starla. A lifelong Tar Heels fan, Don enjoyed sharing his passions and jokes with anyone who stopped by.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jana Meyer of Riverton; son Wyatt and wife Michaela Meyer of Riverton; daughter Ann Meyer and her partner Jordan Brancato; brother Steve and wife Laura Meyer; sister Carol and husband Alan Mangel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to join in celebrating Don's life and the warmth he brought to everyone around him.
