Donald Moore, age 91, of Higgins Lake, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026. Married in 1953 Donald and Beverly shared an incredible 72 years side by side in a loving relationship built on faith and devotion. Together they raised six children, Don, Julia, Linda, Michael, Terese and Jacquelyn.
For 32 dedicated years, Donald worked for the Chrysler Corporation, a career that reflected his loyalty, strong work ethic, and pride in doing a job well done. After retiring, he and his wife Beverly settled at Higgins Lake, a place that quickly became the heart of the family. There, the sound of the laughter of grandchildren and great-grandchildren filled the air, a chapter in life that Donald cherished deeply.
A devoted member of St. Hubert Church, Donald's faith was a guiding force in his life. He found joy in the simple things that gave life richness: early mornings on the golf course, crisp autumn days spent duck hunting, and quiet hours carving beautiful wooden duck decoys by hand. He was a man who appreciated craftsmanship, whether in his work or his hobbies.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife Beverly; his children, Donald Jr. (Paula), Julia (Keith), Linda, Michael (Kristi), and Jacquelyn (Mario); 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit in their hearts. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, and love of family that will ripple through generations. Donald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A service will be held in Spring at St. Hubert Church of Higgins Lake (Date to be published later).
