Donald Myers II Obituary

Donald Arthur Myers II passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 57, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Don was born on March 1, 1968, in Boulder, Colorado, to Donald Arthur Myers and Diana Lynn Myers (née Shields).

Don wanted to be remembered for having a kind heart. He was kind, helpful, and loving.  Those qualities defined how he lived and how he treated others. He was also deeply passionate about his family, helping his community, and always willing to support those around him.

Throughout his career, Don worked as a security manager for a variety of businesses. He held positions at hotels and country clubs, and most recently an aerospace company - a role which he often said was his favorite.

Don loved to travel, especially to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Alaska. He was also a passionate and loyal Denver Broncos fan.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald Arthur Myers.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Joni Lynn Myers (née Lysinger); his mother, Diana Colclasure; his brother, Danny Lee Myers; nine nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and great-nephews; extended family and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held on January 17 at 11:30 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado, with a reception immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don’s memory to:

Apraxia Kids (apraxia-kids.org), supporting kids like Don’s great-nephew Scotty, who has apraxia and was one of Don’s best buddies.

Dragon Master Foundation (dragonmaster.org), focused on brain cancer research and support.

Don will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
