Goodwin-Sievers Family Funeral Home - VincennesIt is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John Robert Myers II, who left us suddenly on November 4, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on April 26, 1956, in Beech Grove, Indiana, he is the son of John Robert and Doris Sedam Myers. He married Christine Barker on August 17, 1983. John spent his life bringing joy and warmth to everyone around him. He called Bicknell, Indiana, home, where he created countless memories with friends and family.
John was a truck driver for over forty plus years and a member of the Central Church of Christ, where he found community and fellowship. He was passionate about the great outdoors and found happiness while hunting, golfing, and camping-activities that truly filled his heart with joy. His biggest joys were pestering his grandchildren and everyone else in his path.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Myers of Bicknell, his children, Heather Myers Roark and her husband Pasha of Bicknell, John Robert Myers III and his wife Lacie of Bicknell, Bryan Myers and his wife Emily of Bicknell, Shayne Myers and his partner James Menkedick of Westport, IN; his siblings, Denise "Sis" Lay and her husband Otto "Sonny" of Vincennes, Leo Myers and his wife Debbie of Bicknell, Deardre "Butter" Wampler and her husband Greg of Bicknell; his grandchildren, Preston Roark, Brayten Trinkle, Brant Trinkle, Pasha Roark, Jr., Kyndall Myers, Jonna Myers, Jenessa Myers, Jersie Myers, Benjamin Myers, Trevor Dillon; three great grandchildren and one on the way. John is preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Doris Myers, his sister Laura Lett his granddaughter, Hayla Roark and his mother and father-in-law, Charles and Kathleen Barker.
Friends may visit with John's family from 5-8 pm on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591. A funeral service celebrating John's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Nuernberger officiating. John will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Myers family has requested memorial contributions be made to Central Church of Christ or the Hayla Roark Memorial Scholarship Foundation. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of John and his family.
