Donald Neel Obituary

He was born in Valley City, Ohio to the late Donald P. and Pearl (Snyder) Neel. Don grew up there and graduated from Buckeye High School in 1964. He married Gloria June Harr on April 16, 1966 in Cleveland. They resided there a short time before moving to Lodi in 1968. Don worked for MTD in Cleveland for 42 years, and later at Stow Monroe Falls City Schools, retiring in 2010. In his earlier years, Don was active with the Lodi Jaycees. He enjoyed hunting, outdoor activities, and following local and professional sports.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughter, Donna Neel of Akron; son, Donald "Will" (Jeanne) Neel of Kent; and grandchildren, Annie, Haylee, and Allison. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Neel.
Visitation will be Friday, May 2, 2025 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., in Lodi, where the funeral service for Don will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 4 p.m. Pastor Jack Radcliffe will officiate. Inurnment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Village of St. Edward Foundation, 3131 Smith Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
