Mary E. Jeroncic Farrell, 75 of Brunswick, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Medina Cleveland Clinic Hospice, following a sudden illness. She was born in Slovenia on April 16, 1950 to the late Joseph and Valeria (Goljevscek) Jeroncic.
Mary grew up in the St. Vitus area in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from St. Peter's High School. She went on to Huron School of Nursing and would later receive her Masters in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Mary had worked as a surgical nurse at Huron Road Hospital for 25 years and later at Cleveland Clinic where she retired as an Assistant PERIOP Education Coordinator, following 24 years of service. She then taught Nursing at Bryant and Stratton until her final retirement.
Mary was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and American Nursing Association. She followed spiritual healing, and enjoyed reading, cooking, entertaining, traveling, needlepoint, and loved her cats.
She is survived by her sister, Josi (husband Thomas L.) U'Ren and their son, Thomas M. U'Ren (wife Hala and their daughter Penny); nephew, Leanord (wife Sandy) Farrell, and their children, Erin Farrell (Haden), and Andy (Brandy) Farrell; brother-in-law, Carl Opaskar, and his children, Mark (Leanne) and Rebecca Opaskar; nephews, Peter Opaskar (Joanna), Matthew, (Katty and their children Alexis, Caylee and Taylor). She was preceded in death by her husband, James Farrell in 2020.
A private service will be scheduled at a later date.
