Donald "Don" Peavley

Donald "Don" Peavley was born on June 22nd 1937, in Flat Lick, Kentucky to the late Walter Skeet Peavley Sr, and Edna Walker Peavley. He departed this life at University of Kentucky hospital on July 12th,2025 surrounded by family. Donald received his formal education in the Harlan County public schools. After completing high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Don was a hard worker, he retired from FMC (Linkbelt), Standard Products, Brinks Armored Services and Active Day for the last 17 yrs until he was admitted into the hospital on June 4th. He loved Reading, watching Westerns, MSNBC and Kentucky Wildcats. But most of all he loved the Lord and family. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, Larry, Bobby, Harold and sister Ann Sessions. 2 sons… Carlton Lee and Christopher Snell, 3 grandsons Leetyja Snell, Dontay Kendrick, and Demetrius Richardson .. his little buddy Scooter who passed away 3 weeks before Don. He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda of 35 yrs, his brother Charles (Rita), WA., 9 children, Leslie, Jason(Oneka), Ollie( Lina), Mary( Daniel),Carrie( Anthony), Beverly( Rosevelt), Katrina. Sherry, and Antonio. 23 grandkids and 45 great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, others relatives and many friends
