Donald H. Peterson, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, with his loving family by his side. On June 19, 1942, Donald Harold was born to Donald K. and Virginia (Kramer) Peterson. Following school, Don served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Vicki Nagreen on September 12, 1964 at Grace Lutheran Church in Neenah. Working for almost 40 years, Don had retired from SCA in 2004. Once retired, he enjoyed Mondays at St Mark's Lutheran Church cleaning and caring for the lawn with the guys. Don was an outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing, especially going out west elk hunting for many years. He was a co-founder for Sturgeon For Tomorrow and Payne's Point Hook and Spear Club. Don was very social and enjoyed talking and spending time with people. In his younger years, he liked snowmobiling and RVing.
Don was a happy man that tried to enjoy life to the fullest. He was a loving husband, proud father, and a grandpa and great-grandpa that adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and delighted in the legacy he and Vicki created.
Don will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Vicki; their children: Lori (Dan) Pitts, Donald (Cindi) Peterson, Tracy (Chris) Feldmann, and Michael (Juanita) Peterson; his grandchildren: Cami Ellis, Allie Howard (fiancé, Elliott George), Dominick Cole, Maya Pitts, Jesse Peterson, Kenny Peterson, Breanna (Ryan) Hayes, Cassandra Berg, Ashton Krutz, Kristy Sieker, Charles Baker, and Timothy Baker; 20 great-grandchildren; his sisters: Marjorie (Kenneth) Fischer, Donna Petersen, and Mary (Donald) Jacobs; as well as other relatives and numerous friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Berg; and his brothers-in-law: Randall (Susan) Nagreen and William Nagreen.
The Memorial Service for Don will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 140 S. Green Bay Road, Neenah, WI 54956. A Time of Gathering will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of the Service at the church. Inurnment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
