Donald B. Ploss

Donald B. Ploss, 78, died peacefully on Thursday morning, December 25, 2025. He was the loving husband of Jean M. (Mullin) Ploss, with whom he shared fifty-two years of marriage.

Born on February 14, 1947, in St. Albans, New York, Don was the beloved son of the late Richard and Phyllis Ploss. He was raised and educated primarily in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1965.

After graduating from Danvers High School, Donald continued his education at Salem State College. Donald proudly served in the United States Navy for six years.

A lifelong enthusiast of cycling, Don owned and operated Two for the Road bike shop in Georgetown, where he built lasting friendships with customers and fellow riders alike. He later worked at Western Cycle in Seabrook, continuing to share his knowledge, craftsmanship, and love of the sport until his retirement.

Don was a resident of Seabrook, New Hampshire, and for many years he and his wife made their home in Newmarket, New Hampshire.

In addition to his wife, Jean, and his United States Submarine Veteran Brothers, Donald leaves behind his siblings, Richard Ploss, Stephen Ploss, and Amy Carlson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

At Don's request, funeral services are private. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
