Donald Paul Rizor, 85, On Sunday morning, January 18th Don left this world and went to heaven to be with his loved ones who were waiting to embrace him once again after accepting Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Don was born on October 26th, 1940, to Nelly (Chilson) and Charles Rizor in Ohio and was raised in Crystal River Florida.
Don's love of family was widely known. He was a devoted husband to Charlotte, and an amazing father to Sherry, Kelly and Kolby. Don spent many years throughout his life selflessly coaching hundreds of kids teaching them sportsmanship and integrity.
In addition to coaching, and loving NFL football, Don also was an avid Indy car enthusiast attending the Indianapolis 500 every opportunity he could.
Don served his country as an Army MP and prior to his retirement Don was a machinist in the Aerospace field working on projects for NASA and our country's Defense Department.
We will remember Don as a great storyteller to his friends and loved ones. With his attention to detail and gentle drawl, he regaled us with stories from his rich, full life. The best part of every story was when recalling a specific moment, he would begin to giggle in that unique, delightful way we will all miss so very much. Don was preceded in death by his parents Nelly and Charles, his wife Charolette, brother Roger, and sisters, Francis, Louise and Donna. He leaves behind a brother, Chuck and a sister Margie. His legacy includes daughter Sherry Utter (Roger) sons Kelly Rizor (Pamela) and Kolby Rizor (Brenda). 10 grandchildren Melanney, Connor, Samuel, Lauren, Gabrielle, Savannah, Keaton, Christian, Emily and Hayden. He was also blessed with 7 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
Don's final resting place will be in Inverness, Florida.
