Donald Lee Robinette

Donald Lee Robinette, 75, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 1PM followed by a funeral service starting at 2PM, at McMullen Funeral Home.
Donald was born in Danville, Virginia on November 15, 1946 to the late Edward Lawson Robinette and Inez Thompson Gravely. He graduated from Jordan High School and spent his career at Tom's Foods.
Donald had a passion for Alabama Football (Roll Tide!), but most of all, he loved taking care of his family. He welcomed anyone into his home and made you feel as if you lived there. He was a great cook, despite the fact that he lost his sight in 1995. He continued to live life to its fullest and never let his handicap slow him down. He was a positive and loving influence for many people.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Evelyn Robinette and his in-laws, Guy and Polly Hall. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Patricia; his daughter Stacy Fretwell and husband Chris; son Christopher Robinette (Anna Horton); grandson Cody Fretwell; granddaughter Amanda Fretwell (Jamie Bryan); brother Billy Robinette and wife Lea; sister in law Brenda Bailey and husband Austin; nieces Shannon Zimmermann and Kellie Strickland; great nephew Drew Zimmerann.
