Donald "Don" Sager

Donald Sager, 89, of Brookfield, WI, passed away on October 10th.

Don was born on March 4th, 1936, to Earl O. and Dorothy Sager of Brookfield, WI. After graduating from Rufus King High School, he became a delivery driver for Automotique Vending. He also served as a volunteer fire fighter.

He married and had four children: Lori, Barbara, Donald and Robert, with former wife Anne.

He married Kathleen Hansen, on August 19th, 1989. They loved visiting the Northwoods and enjoyed many summers at their cabin in Conover. He could often be found sharing a beer and a fish story on the deck with his daughters and grandkids.

Don was an avid sportsman. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons, son in laws and grandchildren. He was especially fond of duck hunting and made it out consecutively for opening day from 1948-1998.

He will be remembered most by his family and friends, for his hilarious and unforgettable storytelling and big belly laugh.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Earl O. and Dorothy Sager, his brother Earl W. Sager, stepdaughter Lori Hansen and stepson Michael Hansen. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Sager, his four children, Lori (Larry) Bergum of Conover, WI, Barbara (Rick) Garrett of Conover, WI, Donald (Barbara) Sager of Arkdale, WI, Robert Sager of Sullivan, WI; one stepdaughter Jill (Tom) Hansen, his grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Garrett, Carley (Dan) Reynolds, Staci (Travis) Treml, Shelby (Jack) Kilgore, Samantha (Alex) Buelter, Kelsey (Logan) Croker, Jamie (Dylan Block) Sager, Nicole (Angel) Mendez, Brandon (Cassie) Bigelow, Jessica (Ben) Knapp, and Emily (Ryan) Bigelow. He also loved being a great grandpa to fourteen great grandchildren: Tucker, Collin, Owen, Griffin, Audrey, Brooks, Hudson, Maxton, Ryla, Kennedy, Elias, Oakley, Weston and Rennin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28th at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Rd. Brookfield, WI from 10:00 AM until time of the Memorial Service at 12:00 PM.
