Donald Vincent Simone, 78, of Smithfield, VA passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025. He was the son of the late Dominic Simone and Alice Helen St Amand Simone. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lynn Eleanor Robinson Simone; son, Anthony Simone (Maria); grandchildren, Luke, Juliana, Rhett and Vanessa; great grandchild, Alessio; and son in law, Michael Barlow. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Lynn Barlow.
Don faithfully served in the U S Air Force for four years, then riding for many years in the Patriot Guard. He retired from the civil service after forty years, and then volunteered for many years with the Isle of Wight Christian Outreach Program. He was an avid wood worker and built furniture for many members of the family. Don was a loving and faithful husband, a caring father, and a loving grandfather. Family was everything to him.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, 1 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA. Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com
